Pastel Painting on 23 x 18 paper.

BE BOLD!  This is the first Hogue frame and was the last pastel painting I did. I enjoyed working with pastels but became concerned that the dust created by this medium was hazardous to my health; that it could cause pneumoconiosis or Black Lung Disease. Of course, pastel dust may be prettier than coal dust, but the result could be the same. I do not have a doctor's opinion on this, however.

BACK TO THE FRAME.  I predict that in the future artists will take their pictures to a framer and tell him he wants to "Hogue it", and the framer will pull out his catalog giving hundreds of designs in all colors.  Just remember, you saw it here first.
